Audit Authorities network meeting

The ENI CBC audit network brought together 25 representatives of all Audit Authorities (AA) involved in the ENI CBC programmes and selected members of the Groups’ of Auditors’ (GoA) from the participating countries to collaborate.

The discussion focused on the review of the 2019/2020 annual audit reports and opinions, as well as recommendations for the future audit work. DG Regio colleagues noted steady developments in the audit work. In most of the cases, DG Regio agreed with the audit opinion issued by the AAs.

The event also included a recap of the key aspects for post-2020 audit arrangements that should bring the simplification both to the programme bodies and beneficiaries.
